Augusta Moore has over 30 years invested in the dance community.

She has danced a large and varied repertoire with the San Francisco Ballet, the Pennsylvania Ballet and the Chicago City Ballet, including leading roles in Balanchine's "Rubies" and "The Four Temperaments", Kylian¹s "Forgotten Land", and "Le Corsair Pas de Deux". Her teachers have included Maria Tallchief, Jacques D'Ambroise, Lupe Serrano and Benjamin Harkarvy.

Moore began her teaching career after retiring from the San Francisco Ballet in 1987. She has taught, directed and choreographed for a number of organizations, including Naropa University, Ballet Frankfurt, the San Francisco School of the Performing Arts, San Francisco Circus School, Colorado State University, Dance Mission, Lines Ballet and San Francisco Dance Center. She is currently the director for the Ballet Program at the ODC School.

Individually she has coached dancers, actors, musicians and people from all walks of life. To further her teaching expertise, Moore is a certified Feldenkrais® practitioner. She has a private practice and also teaches Awareness Through Movement® classes at ODC.
